Customizing the Landing Page URLs of your SuperSite 2

provides an option to customize URLs for the landing pages on SuperSite 2 . This allows the Resellers to use short URLs and helps in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Customizing URLs for the Landing Pages on SuperSite 2

  1. Login to your SuperSite 2 Admin Area. See details

  2. In the Menu, click the Settings link.

  3. Under Customize URLs, click the Modify URLs button.

  4. Click the Language for which you wish to set Custom URLs.

    Note

    All Languages for which you have enabled your SuperSite 2 would be listed here. You can set Custom URLs for each Language.

  5. Here, the SuperSite 2 landing pages specific to that Language will be listed, alongwith their Default URLs. Specify your Custom URL in the New URL field for each landing page.

    You may choose to include the relevant Language Code in all the Custom URLs by selecting the Add Language Code before all URLs option.

    Example: Assume that you wish to set your Custom URL for the Domain Pricing page for English Language as domain-pricing. Enabling the Language Code option will set the Custom URL in this case as en/domain-pricing. Similarly, all other Custom URLs set by you for English language will be prefixed with en.

  6. Click the Save Changes button.

  7. Note
    • You need to replace the Default URLs with the Custom URLs in the Header and Footer files, to ensure that the search engines index your Custom URLs. See details

    • If you have enabled multiple Languages for your SuperSite 2, you need to update the Header and Footer files as above for each Language.

    • The Default URLs will continue to work and will be redirected to the Custom URLs. This is handled using a 301 redirect.

    • The Custom URLs will be automatically applied to any additional domain name that you may have set as your Branded SuperSite 2 URL.

    • Custom URLs cannot be set for the below links under the Domains section:

      • Bulk Domain Registration and Bulk Domain Transfer - These links require a login, before they are redirected to the landing pages. Hence, the SEO benefit is minimal.

      • IDN Domain Registration - This link does not have a dedicated page associated with it.

Get Number Of Users

Description

Gets the number of users per email type categories.

Customizing the Upsell Modal

During the Domain Registration process, the SuperSite 2 displays a modal which upsells Linux Hosting by default. Through your SuperSite 2 Admin Area, you may select a different product to sell in the Upsell Modal.

How do I Select a Product to Sell in the Upsell Modal?

Step 1: Login to your SuperSite 2 Admin Area. Learn how.

Step 2: Navigate to the Upsell settings page.

  • In the Menu, click on the Settings link.


  • Click on the Change Product button under Customize Upsell Modal.

Step 3: Select a product to Upsell.

  • You may choose to upsell either a Combo Plan or any other product. Click on Upsell a Combo Plan or Upsell a Product as required.


  • If you have selected a Combo Plan, you can select a single plan to upsell from the drop down list under Upsell a Combo Plan.


  • In case you wish to upsell a different product, you can select it from the drop down list under Upsell a Product.


  • If you wish to disable the Upsell Modal, you can select None from the list under Upsell a Product.


  • Click on the Save button to submit the changes.

Note

  • The drop-down menu will display only those Products which you have chosen to sell. Products set to No New Orders or Do Not Sell will not be listed here.

  • This process will customize the Upsell Modal for every Language SuperSite that you have created.

  • Your SuperSite 2 will not display the modal if you choose to sell only Domain Names. Hence, the Customize Upsell Modal section will not be visible in your SuperSite 2 Admin Area in this case.

  • If you have chosen to upsell a Combo Plan, the Upsell Modal will be displayed to the customer only if they select a TLD available with the Combo Plan.

SMS Preferences

SMS Alerts (for Brazilian, Canadian, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, UK and US Audiences only)

allows you to send and receive SMS alerts for important Account and Order related information.

  • Receive SMS Alerts: You may choose to receive SMS alerts for Low Funds. These will be sent when funds under your Reseller Account fall below the threshold level set by you. href="servlet/KBServlet/faq566.html#fundsthreshold" target="_blank">Setting the Funds Threshold Level for your Reseller Account

    Sample Low Funds Alert

    Your <Parent's Brand Name> account is left with <currency> <amount> only! Refill your account soon or your Orders may not get processed.

  • Send SMS Alerts to your Customers: You may activate SMS alerts for Renewal Reminders for your Customers. These will be sent with your Branding to your Customers for their Orders expiring in the next 7 days.

    Sample Renewal Reminder Alert

    Hosting on <somedomain.com> in your account will expire on <day>, <date>. Please renew it soon.

    OR (in case of multiple Orders expiring within 7 days)

Sender Information:

  • For an Indian mobile number, the SMS alerts will be sent with the Sender ID LM-WEBSVC.

  • For a Canadian and a US mobile number, the SMS alerts will be sent from +1 253-235-0001.

  • For a Brazilian, Russian, Spanish and UK mobile number, the SMS alerts will be sent with the Sender ID WEBSVC.

  • For a Chinese mobile number, the SMS alerts will be sent either with the Sender ID WEBSVC or from a number starting with +45.

  • For an Indonesian and a Turkish mobile number, the SMS alerts will be sent from a number starting with +44.

To Set your SMS Preferences

  1. Login to your Reseller Control Panel. See details

  2. In the Menu, point to Settings -> System Notifications and then click SMS.

  3. Here, your can set the SMS Preferences as below:

    • My Preferences: Select the checkbox for Low Funds.

    • Customer's Preferences: Select the checkbox for Renewal Reminder.

  4. Click the Save button to save the preferences.

  • To successfully receive SMS alerts, you need to ensure that your Mobile Number is accurately updated in your Reseller Profile. See details

  • To successfully receive SMS alerts, your Customers need to ensure that their Mobile Number is accurately updated in their Profile. See details

  • You will not be charged any extra service fee for sending SMSes. However, you may have to bear standard carrier fees for receiving SMSes.

  • Your Customers can enable / disable SMS alerts for Renewal Reminders from within their Customer Control Panel, only if you have chosen to send them.

  • SMS alerts for Low Funds will be sent upto a maximum of 3 times day. No SMS alert will be sent if the Funds drop below the threshold level for the fourth time in a single day.

  • SMS alerts will be disabled for a mobile number, if fails to send 5 consecutive SMSes to that number.

Opt-out by replying to the SMS (for Canadian and US mobile numbers only)

The SMS will contain an opt-out message and you need to simply reply with it to unsubscribe.

The opt-out message will be in the following format:

STOP <RID> LF

where RID will be pre-filled with your Reseller ID.

On responding, our system will log your preference and you will receive an SMS confirming your unsubscription. The SMS preference page within your Reseller Control Panel will now start dispalying the new status.

Invalid / Unreachable Mobile Number Notification

A notification will be displayed on the Dashboard within the Reseller/Customer Control Panel, in case you/your Customer have/has :

  • not provided a mobile number,

    OR

  • provided an invalid mobile number,

    OR

  • subscribed to SMS alerts and the previous 5 attempts by us to send SMSes to the mobile number have failed.

You/your Customer can update the mobile number by clicking the Update number link in the notification panel.

Note
  • The mobile number can also be updated anytime from the Modify Reseller/Customer Profile view within the Reseller/Customer Control Panel.

  • If your/your Customer's mobile number is valid and the non-delivery of SMSes was due to issues such as network coverage, phone being switched off, etc., you/your Customer may submit the existing mobile number. The system will then make two more attempts to send SMSes to your/your Customer's mobile number.

    If those also fail, SMS alerts will be disabled for that mobile number and you need to contact our Support Team at to have the alerts re-enabled.
